In a librarian internship, you receive training in a library science program and learn more about the day-to-day functions of a library. Your duties typically involve shelving books, answering patron questions, and helping research public information. Depending on the employer, you may perform other activities as an intern. For example, while most people think of public and school libraries when they see this job title, there are also librarian internships at law libraries, music libraries, and other unique facilities. You may handle rare or valuable materials, help decide whether or not to add certain works to the collection, or actively research new material that meets specific criteria.

A research proposal is a document proposing a research project, generally in the sciences or academia, and generally constitutes a request for sponsorship of that research. Proposals are evaluated on the cost and potential impact of the proposed research, and on the soundness of the proposed plan for carrying it out. Wikipedia
