BAJMC 2201 Applied Television and Radio Journalism

This course develops skills and knowledge associated with broadcast journalism, with a particular focus on television news. It has a strong emphasis on the application of skills through small group work and the production of television news stories. It adopts a hands-on approach with emphasis on researching stories, interview techniques, the crafting and filming of to-camera pieces, and the compilation of coherent and concise broadcast news stories. It will be taught in collaboration with practicing industry professionals to ensure it reflects current industry practice.
